ENG. I want to keep drawing what I dream while listening to music. For days, I’ve been immersed in the incredible, wild soundscapes of The Mars Volta. Last week, I fell asleep listening to them, and my mind drifted into a dream that was bizarre yet strangely beautiful—so I wanted to create a drawing that came at least a little close to capturing it.

They blew my mind the very first time I heard them; they’ve always been a huge source of inspiration and one of my favorite bands for sparking mental imagery. This time, I didn’t want that vision to stay locked inside my head, so I started drawing, and it eventually turned into this piece—part fan art, part poster.

ESP. Quiero seguir dibujando lo que sueño mientras escucho música. Llevo días habitando los increíbles desvaríos de The Mars Volta. La semana pasada me quedé dormida escuchándolos y mi mente viajó a un sueño rarísimo, pero extrañamente hermoso.

Desde la primera vez que los escuché me volaron la cabeza; siempre han sido una de mis mayores fuentes de inspiración y una de mis bandas catalizadoras favoritas para traducir música en imágenes mentales. Esta vez no quise que esa visión se quedara sólo en mi cabeza, así que me puse a dibujar y terminó convirtiéndose en esta especie de fan art / póster.
