ENG. Google invited me to illustrate a Doodle to celebrate the Mexican poet Ramón López Velarde y la publication of the first issue of Pegaso a magazine founded by him.

The concept of the Doodle was inspired by It was inspired by the literary imagery the author uses in his poems and his context and tried to make an interpretation through nature of what life meant to him with all its nuances, its luminosity and its darkness. In this Doodle, I included elements mentioned in one of his most important poems La Suave Patria, like dahlias, which are the national flowers of Mexico, nopales, a mexican woodpecker and hummingbirds. The theme of love and women as his constant inspiration are also reflected in this doodle.

To honor the Mexican poet, Google presented this Doodle at the Complejo Cultural Los Pinos, where a conversatory was held with the brilliant poets Isabel Zapata, Clyo Mendoza and Karen Villeda, who spoke about the presence of women in poetry and highlighted the current role of women in Mexican poetry.

ESP. Google me invitó a ilustrar un Doodle para celebrar al poeta mexicano Ramón López Velarde y la publicación del primer número de la revista Pegaso, de la que fue fundador. Para la conceptualización me inspiré en las imágenes literarias que usa el autor en sus poemas y en su contexto e intenté interpretar, a través de la naturaleza, lo que la vida significaba para él, con todos sus matices, su luminosidad y su oscuridad.

En este Doodle incluí elementos mencionados en uno de sus poemas más importantes, La suave patria, como dalias (la flor nacional de México), nopales, un pájaro carpintero mexicano y colibríes. El tema del amor y la figura de la mujer como fuente constante de inspiración también se ven reflejados en esta ilustración.

Para rendir homenaje al poeta mexicano, Google presentó este Doodle en el Complejo Cultural Los Pinos, donde se llevó a cabo un conversatorio con las brillantes poetas Isabel Zapata, Clyo Mendoza y Karen Villeda, quienes hablaron sobre la presencia de las mujeres en la poesía y destacaron el papel actual de la mujer en la poesía mexicana.
